Itinerary
Description of the trip
Begin your trip with a pick-up from your hotel head to the West Bank of Luxor to visit the Valley of the Kings. Glance around the complex and see the tombs and resting places of remarkable Egyptian kings such as Merneptah, Ramesses III, and Ramesses VI.
Then move on to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, dedicated to the fifth pharaoh and the only female ruler of Egypt who reigned for 20 peaceful years.
Next, move to Medinet Habu, where the burial temple of Ramses III can be found, one of the city’s most important religious monuments. Its entrance is 63 meters wide and 22 meters tall and bears a representation of the Pharoah himself punishing some prisoners.
then continue to the Valley of the Nobles, where you can find more than 500 tombs belonging to the members of the Egyptian aristocracy. We’ll take a look inside a number of the tombs to admire their decoration: having been less attractive to grave robbers, they tend to be much better preserved than the royal tombs.
Then move to the colossi of Memnon where you will See the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III at the Colossi of Memnon, then stop for lunch at a local restaurant.
Then take a felucca ride on the Nile. Enjoy refreshing breezes with a ride on a traditional Egyptian sailboat.
